For 14 years, Heba has been leading innovative organizations that develop and foster startups and ecosystems in emerging markets. An investor, economist and business strategist, Heba has been a pioneer in her field since the start of her career. Heba has served as Founding Managing Director of Egypt Ventures, investing in over 70 companies to date. Within her role, Heba has worked on the establishment of EFG- EV Fintech as well as Falak Startups where she’s been serving as Founding Vice Chairwoman of the board. Heba was previously Partner at Endure Capital. She also served as Senior Entrepreneurship Advisor at Mercy Corps. Prior to that, she worked in the UK as a consultant on business model innovation with IBM and on GIZ’s private sector development program. Heba joined Endeavor Egypt as Entrepreneur Selection and Growth Manager in 2010 and served as the youngest Network Hub Manager for the Egyptian component of the MENA Businesswomen’s Network in 2008. Heba serves on the advisory board of Village Capital’s Finance Forward MENA program as well as the advisory board of the MENA Sustainability Accelerator. She has also been a member of AmCham’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee since 2014, and formerly served on Flat6Labs Cairo’s advisory board. Heba is a Co-Founder of T20 Association, and serves on the boards of several non-profits, including AYB (Alashanek Ya Balady for Sustainable Development). She has a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics (LSE) and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the German University in Cairo.
